Flushing is a district located to the north of New York City in the borough of Queens. The area is home to many ethnic groups, including African Americans, Middle Eastern, European and Asian. Flushing Town Hall is now home to an arts museum which regularly has many different displays. The town hall also hosts Chinese new year celebrations every year. This is normally around February, although the actual time will depend on when the Lunar new year falls.

The biggest park in Flushing is Flushing Meadows – Corona Park. This has many different facilities including the Queens Wildlife Center and the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
